John Deere 1025r CTA Grapple
Просмотров 2567 месяцев назад
Hey everybody, B-rad here. Today I'm showing you the CTA 50" grapple that I have had for about 3 months or so. It has been awesome, and is built very well in my opinion. Had to install a Summit Hydraulics 3rd function kit onto the tractor to use the grapple. Thanks for watching. Any questions just ask.

Where do you get those pins that go into the oar lock holes? My oar locks are the male section that go into the mounts on the boat but you just had female oar locks on male oar lock pins in the mounts on the boat. I've never seen those.
How deep is the power drawer? wondering if it can hold a dewalt charger and 5ah battery 20v
5-3/4 deep
No skeg or cavitation plate?
It has a skeg.
Cool ❤
Thank you, Lord! I took the old socket out so fast that I didn't pay attention to which wire went to which screw on the new socket! Lamplight!
Nice video! Thank you Sir!
The government doesn't want you to know this
I've always wanted one of those things
I just got this today and it won't unlock 😒
Cool❤🙏
You fishing
In the past I have but not this trip.
@@BRadWilson3 used to go to garden lake in my youth
@@nedflora1154 That's where we do our fishing. Good fishing on Gordon Lake
Nice job. IF you bolt or weld a taper piece on the ends, you might slip into the pallet easier than cut off tubing does.
Where did you buy the kit?
Johnson Trailer parts online
About how much was it?
@@Squatch-Hauler Looks like it's about $1300 right now on the website.
I just ordered a Ruegg Cat 1 for my 420. This was a nice video.
Great video. Nice details and video coverage. Thank you for doing the video, especially in the cold weather
Glad you enjoyed it!
dumpster fire
B-Rad, great video. What length and size hoses did you end up getting to go from the grapple cylinder to the loader bracket?
If I remember correctly they are 3/8 lines, and about 36-40". One is longer than the other since it goes further down the cylinder.
Thanks! That definitely gives me an idea.
Ive been using hammer drill on flag stone, burning up every kind of masonry bit I tried
Don't confuse a three-way socket with a three terminal socket.Very different.
so you ordered it at the store picked it up and you didn't have to pay extra for shipping?
Correct. Took 2 weeks
@@BRadWilson3 badass man thanks
That’s pretty cool looking
I know this improves performance, but did it have any effect on gas mileage (for the better or worse)?
I don't keep track of mileage. It's a 460 it's bad all the time haha.
You deserve way more views for this video!
Nice welds!
Thank you!
So I'm in the process of trying to build mine into a dump trailer I am using a scissor hoist instead of a direct push ram and I'm just trying to calculate a few different things out,, Like how much of the rear frame do I need to cut off to get my appropriate dump angle for the box, I am not rebuilding the box like you did I'm using a standard box with the inside fenders but I found the entire box for $500 surplus,,
It was kind of a guessing game. I have another dump trailer that I kinda used as a guide to make it. I went overkill on the cylinder to make sure it would dump. The most have have dumped was a little over 3k pounds. It could probably dump more but I took out some of the leaf springs to lower the trailer some. The springs were pretty flat. Thanks and good luck on the build
Does it have soft close
No it does not.
Can you open the drawer like a snap on? from left to right or right to left?
Have to move the handle left to open. Can't go the other way
how wide did u cut the rubber mat
3 or 4 inches. That way if it wears down you can flip it over .
where u order the 3 point hitch from what type of back blade does it used
You can order a Ruegg hitch on eBay or look him up online. You can call and order one. I don't have a rear blade, you could make one or probably order one.
Great review, I have the series 2, I love it, the 2 full length drawers are nice, I wish I could afford to have the box built to me needs and wants, oh well, enjoy your box.
Thanks for watching!
Do the drawer pulls include a latch to prevent opening when you swing the cart around? Thanks for the great demo!
Yes they do
What are the measurements for the wood top?
Very nice!!
Thanks
How fast is it going I want to put one on my boat
Top speed is about 10-12 mph or so. Jumped up a prop size to get a little more speed. Still has plenty of power for one person with about 100# of gear.
They’re perfect for one person. If you plan on having someone with you more than half the time I’d make the jump to the 420 to keep speeds around 15 with two people
The width of the entire box, is it really a 52" and then +4" for the handle? Thanks. For the drawer height you'd want to measure from the back of the drawer to know your clearance, (*not the sides) looks good. Thanks! 🎉
Wrong....the box is 56" wide without the handle.
@@vin9114 I got one. Who said it wasn't? My question is wrong? Lol 🤦♂️ it's actually 56.⅜"
@CorvetteTrev sorry, I guess I miss understood your comment.
Great review. I’m looking to get 2 56” tomorrow. Hopefully the top boxes will get a coupon soon.
Good luck!
They got a coupon right now!
How much overhang is needed to achieve a 45° angle
I think there is only about a 12" overhang on the back if that. The other factor is how far back you put the cylinder in relation to the bed. Farther forward it will lift at a lower angle and further back it will lift higher but harder on the cylinder to lift.
💯💯💯
I wish they had these without a power drawer
Husky brand from home depot would be your option then
I'm a mechanic here in Canada if only i lived in the America I'd scoop this toolbox so fast for this kind of money for this quality unbelievable compared to snap off so wicked unfair we don't have harbor freight in Canada so jealous 🔥🔥🔥🏆🏆🏆
You can drive down to the closest harbor freight across the border and bring it back with a small utility trailer
Ignorance lol

Like the wood top
Thanks, ended up putting some marine varnish on the top to protect the wood.
??
My lightbulb don't jiggle, jiggle It folds
i think you dropped something sir
You can change out the plastic roll casters for metal casters
Thank you for the video! Definitely helping me decide to upgrade!
You are the smartest reviewer on youtube for this or any other toobox. Nobody ever measures the drawer sizes. You are the bomb. Clear,to the point. And precise. Thank you for taking your time for us.
Thanks appreciate it
Are you still running it? Do you like it better than a low pro style? I’m thinking of getting a deck over 6x12
Yes still have the trailer. Other than slapping new wheels and tires on it is the same as on the video. Same battery and everything. I keep a solar charger on it. Now that I have a tractor I do wish it was a low pro so I could dump the loader easier as I can only lift so high. I do like that it's not as wide as a low pro to get it into tighter areas. If the cost of dump trailers wasn't out of hand I would look for a low pro but I will be holding onto this for now.
Commenting on the video for the algorithm
How many hours on the tach?
I would have to look.
1,971. Hours
When you picked it up, how did you transport? What I mean is, do they have a way, and is the palet/skid designed in a way, for them to put it in the bed of a pickup length wise? Thanks! Im lookin to get the blue 56.
Yes, although it says not to forklift lengthwise they did. When I got home I slid it to pickup from the other side. Works either way
